Who are our emergency services?
After a recent fire drill the children in our Kiwi room became quite interested in our local emergency services.
We took this opportunity and decided to invite them all to our centre so the children could learn more about who they are, how they work and the important role they play in our community.
We learnt that these people are all here to keep us safe and help us in a variety of different ways.
We got to try on their uniforms, breathing masks and even look through their vehicles. The Fire Service even let us operate the hose!
We all thoroughly enjoyed meeting these wonderful people and exploring the equipment that they use to do their jobs!
