At BestStart Pinnacles in Wānaka, we celebrate the joy of learning through play!
Nestled in the stunning alpine landscape of Wānaka, BestStart Pinnacles is a warm and welcoming childcare and early learning centre where children are encouraged to explore, discover and grow. Our nurturing environment feels like a second home, with plenty of opportunities for tamariki to enjoy the outdoors, try new things and build confidence.
Whether your child is starting childcare for the first time or getting ready for school, we offer:
- Nature Explorers Programme: Tamariki can explore the forest, visit local community playgrounds and make the most of Wānaka's beautiful open spaces through active play and adventure.
- Ride Tribe: Weekly bike rides help children build confidence, balance and coordination while enjoying Wānaka's local tracks and learning how to ride safely alongside others.
- Little Chefs: Weekly cooking and baking experiences help children develop practical life skills, confidence and teamwork while enjoying the fun of creating and tasting their own food.
- Weekly Fun Dress-Up Days: From pyjama and superhero days to crazy hair days, regular special events give children something exciting to look forward to and create shared memories with their friends.
- Communication that Connects: Monthly newsletters and weekly updates keep whānau connected to your child's experiences, with photos, centre highlights, birthdays and special events shared along the way.
- We Care: Sustainability is part of everyday life at Pinnacles. Children learn how to care for their environment and work alongside local organisations to make a positive difference in their community.
- Start with Heart: Our youngest tamariki are supported through nurturing relationships, play and everyday experiences that build confidence, independence and important early skills.
- Set for School: Older children join the Ruru Rangers and are given a special merit chart focused on developing the early literacy, numeracy, social and independence skills they need to feel confident and ready for their transition to school.
