Discover our unique rooms

We have three rooms to cater for children at differing ages and stages of development and 2 separate outdoor play areas to ensure the safety of all of our children.

We believe that children learn through active exploration of the environment so we encourage children to make sense of their very own special world through local community outdoor learning opportunities.

Aroha Room(0-2 years)

Welcome to Aroha – our beautiful nursery space where the tiniest feet make the biggest footprints on our hearts.
With a maximum of just 20 pēpi in a spacious, thoughtfully designed environment, and an incredible teacher-to-child ratio of 1:4, your little one will receive all the love, attention, and support they need to thrive. Our dedicated kaiako are passionate about creating a calm, caring atmosphere where strong bonds and secure attachments form the foundation for learning.
Daily experiences are carefully planned to nurture each child’s individual development – from sensory play and music to tummy time and storytelling – all designed to support growth at each baby’s unique pace.
Whether it’s cuddles, first steps, or curious little hands exploring the world, our Aroha Room is a safe and joyful space filled with warmth, wonder, and lots of love.

Koa Room(2-3.5 years)

Our Koa Room – named for the joy and happiness that toddlers bring – is a vibrant, loving space designed just for our curious little explorers.
With three passionate and nurturing kaiako guiding the way, this room is bursting with opportunities for learning, laughter, and discovery. Our toddlers are offered a wide variety of hands-on activities and rich provocations that support their development, imagination, and growing independence – all while having plenty of fun!
We know this age still needs plenty of cuddles and calm moments too. Our teachers bring just the right blend of energy and tender loving care, creating strong, supportive relationships that help each child feel safe, seen, and valued.
Koa also has a cosy, dedicated nap area for those much-needed midday rests, helping our tamariki recharge and reset. They share an outdoor space with the older children, giving them the chance to observe, interact, and form friendships across age groups – building confidence and social skills as they play side-by-side.
Every day in Koa is a new adventure – filled with laughter, learning, and a whole lot of heart.

Tūhura Room(3.5-5 years)

Tūhura means "to discover" – and that’s exactly what our older tamariki do every day in this vibrant, engaging space designed to ignite their love for learning.
With three experienced and passionate kaiako leading the way, our Tūhura Room offers a rich, balanced programme that supports tamariki in building the confidence, skills, and independence they need as they prepare for the exciting transition to school. Our “Set for School” programme blends early literacy, numeracy, and social development with the freedom of play, curiosity, and exploration.
Learning doesn’t stop at the centre doors! Our tamariki enjoy regular excursions that change with the seasons and interests of the group – from forest adventures to active movement sessions at the local tennis courts, and soon, exciting community bike rides. These outings nurture a sense of belonging, confidence, and connection to the wider world.
In Tūhura, we honour each child’s journey, celebrating their strengths, supporting their growth, and making sure they leave us not just school-ready, but life-ready.
