Discover our unique rooms

We have three dedicated rooms caring for children of different ages and developmental stages. Each room has its specially designed indoor and outdoor areas, and the teaching team in each room implements teaching methods and strategies that best suit children of different interests and needs.

Acorns Room(Babies)

In our Acorns room, we care for a group of young infants and curious crawling babies in a calm, nurturing environment. We focus on building warm, responsive relationships so each child feels safe, valued, and confident to explore.

Every infant is supported by a dedicated kaiako (teacher) who develops a strong connection with both the child and their whānau. By following home routines and understanding individual needs, we create a sense of consistency and comfort throughout the day.

Our experienced teachers design inviting, stimulating spaces and provide engaging learning opportunities that encourage curiosity, discovery, and early development at each child’s own pace.

Budding Branches Room(Toddlers)

Children are offered a wide range of fun and challenging experiences each day, designed to spark curiosity and support their growing independence. Our skilled and experienced teachers work closely alongside children, nurturing the development of social skills and self-help skills, while gently introducing early literacy and numeracy concepts through play.

We also provide supportive, respectful guidance during toilet training, ensuring each child feels confident, capable, and well prepared as they transition to the Tall Oaks room.

Tall Oaks Room(Preschool)

In this room, children are further encouraged to develop their sense of wonder, along with their growing self-help and social skills. We support children to become confident learners by introducing key skills that help them explore, inquire, and investigate their own areas of interest.

As children approach school age, we offer a range of “school-like” experiences, including the option of bringing a lunchbox. These experiences help build familiarity and confidence in preparation for the next stage of their learning journey.

Our teaching team uses a variety of approaches and strategies within everyday activities to strengthen early literacy and numeracy skills. This ensures that each child develops a strong foundation for a positive and successful transition to school.
