Ready for Learning, Ready for Life

At BestStart Bay Kindy, we aim to prepare children with the skills for lifelong learning and active citizenship, which is supported through our centre philosophy and focuses on forming relationships, aspiring to achieve, and showing care & respect for one another.


We believe different cultures should be celebrated and we take pride in our multicultural centre. We engage in regular cultural celebrations and traditions and often welcome families to join us for whānau events. We also aim to implement excursions into our learning to support tamariki to become active members of the wider community.

Our Set for School programme is interwoven throughout our curriculum to help prepare children for the next step in their learning journey and support their transition to primary school. Our 16 Areas of Play are offered in our centre each day to support each child's development and we empower children to lead their own learning.
