About our centre
At our centre, tamariki learn in a warm, nurturing environment where curiosity, play, and connection come first. Every child is supported through age-appropriate spaces, smaller group sizes, and dedicated outdoor areas. Our local curriculum is inspired by the history of our place, including our maunga, Ōhinerau (Mt Hobson). Tamariki explore stories, waiata, and te reo Māori, helping them build cultural identity, language, and a sense of belonging.
Learning happens naturally through everyday routines, creative play, and meaningful interactions. Social and emotional development, problem-solving, and literacy are embedded in daily experiences. Older tamariki are supported through our Set for School programme, helping them develop the confidence and skills they need for a smooth transition to school.
We also offer a variety of enrichment experiences for all tamariki, included in our fees:
- Kids Yoga: mindfulness and emotional regulation through movement and stories (3–5 yrs)
- Dance & Drama with Fairy Clare: creativity, storytelling, and problem-solving (3–5 yrs)
- Jumping Beans with Sherrie: confidence, coordination, and gross motor skills (6 mths–3 yrs)
Community and care are at the heart of everything we do. Tamariki thrive when they feel safe, supported, and connected. Our experienced teaching team builds strong, trusting relationships that nurture wellbeing, curiosity, and confidence. We maintain strong connections with our wider community through regular visits from the local library and walks to our maunga, Ōhinerau.
Through this combination of play, learning, enrichment, and community connections, every child experiences a rich, supportive, and meaningful learning journey.
