Xenismos – The Sharing of Food – Healthy meals provided by a talented cook which are made in conjunction with the Healthy Heart (Heart Foundation) and the Ministry of Health.
Opportunities – We endeavour to provide an environment that creates and supports children to think, to wonder, to challenge, to investigate further and to research their working theories of the world around them.
Nurturing – An environment where Manaakitanga and Whanaungatanga are paramount. We provide a place where it is a family environment, where whànau, tamariki and Kaiako are seen as one, a collective to the running of the centre.

Holistic Development – Social, emotional, physical and spiritual practices are guided by the framework of our early childhood curriculum Te Whariki.
Education – Education is fundamental to the development of tamariki and can shape the later years of an individuals life.
Independence – “Be School Ready” starts at day one. Tamariki learn self help skills and how to care for others. They are given time to plan, develop and extend on their play, interests and learning.
Gardens – Kaiako teach tamariki how to look after the land (Pàpatùanuku) and how to grow food for themselves and the animals in the centre.
Happy, healthy – Tamariki are able to express and learning in the knowledge that their learning is important and valued. Tamariki know they have a place and that their culture is seen as taonga (precious).
Te Tiriti o Waitangi – We embrace Te Tiriti o Waitangi. We acknowledge Màori as tangata whenua by the use of te reo Màori, and practicing the collective and holistic views that Màori culture holds (Te Ao Màori)
Spend Fun Filled Moments Together – Having specifically designed room that reflect the ages and stages of tamariki allow a safe space for them to be creative and extend of their thinking while challenging their own boundaries of learning.
