The environment is rich in open-ended, age-appropriate resources that foster independence, creativity and curiosity. To keep learning fresh and engaging, resources are regularly rotated, ensuring a stimulating and dynamic environment. We actively support the development of self-help and social skills, helping tamariki build a strong foundation for future learning.

Our Pōhutukawa Room is a warm and welcoming space for tamariki aged two and over, thoughtfully designed to foster learning through play, exploration and meaningful relationships.
Learning is not confined to the indoors — our environment flows seamlessly between indoor and outdoor spaces, encouraging tamariki to connect with nature, take risks and lead their own learning journeys.
Through a wide range of experiences, we nurture each child’s curiosity and confidence, laying a strong foundation for future learning. We work closely with local primary schools, and our robust Set for School programme supports early development in literacy, numeracy, science and social skills.
