Our beautiful, homely learning centre is only a short walk from Bayfair Mall and Baywave Pools. We have a spacious outdoor environment at the back of our centre and we are proudto be a part of the Arataki community.

Our indoor learning environments consist of our Pukeko Nest for children under 2 and our Akiaki Room for our preschool children.

This is where our pepi are nurtured to grow and reach new milestones through love, respect, dignity, education and care in a calm and relaxed environment with resources and activities provided for their specific needs, interests and developmental stages.

Tamariki have the opportunity for free play with planned activities provided during the day that encourage and support tamariki interests and developmental needs with great indoor and outdoor flow.

You will find our tamariki engaged in all areas of our space including our large outdoor space where we have a wonderful sandpit, huge Pohutukawa tree where Tui and other manu enjoy singing to us, a garden that the tamariki help to tend and harvest. Many opportunities for dramatic play and to extend and develop physical capabilities. Our inside environment is open and provides us the teaching team to be creative with the learning space to offer opportunities for provocations for learning while also providing the 16 areas of play.

We offer free play where tamariki lead their own learning, along with opportunities for extended learning moments that we plan to support and extend on their interests and developmental needs, we have three main mealtimes where tamariki are invited to sit and share in the wonderful nutritious kai provided. On Thursdays' we have out lunch box day for our 4-year-old as part of their preparation for school.
