At BestStart Great North Road, we believe every child has a unique story to tell. Nestled in the foothills of Te Wao Nui ā Tiriwa, our centre is a place where tamariki, whānau, and kaiako come together to learn, grow, and belong.

Through strong relationships, meaningful play experiences, and a rich, localised curriculum, we support children to develop confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.

We are proud of our diverse and multicultural community and celebrate the many cultures, languages, and experiences our families bring with them. At the same time, we honour Te Kawerau ā Maki as mana whenua by weaving local pūrākau, histories, and connections to place throughout our curriculum.

These stories help children develop a strong sense of identity, belonging, and connection to the world around them. We believe that understanding where we come from helps us understand who we are and inspires us to contribute positively to our community.
