BestStart Hobsonville
BestStart Hobsonville is a brand new early learning centre, now open in Hobsonville, Auckland. The centre provides quality education and care for children aged between 3 months to 5 years old. Please note: There may be limitations to enrolment availability due to high enquiries being received.
We are excited to bring old and new together in our new purpose-built centre in Hobsonville. A century ago the existing building on the site was the original Hobsonville Kindergarten and this building has heritage status which we have lovingly restored to preserve its rich history. In addition, we have built a new wing to complement the old and provide the space and facilities required in a modern Early Childhood Education centre.
Our indoor spaces are built to support the learning and development of every age group – Infants, Toddlers, and Preschoolers. Each room will be equipped with high quality, focused resources designed to spark curious minds.
We'll have an expansive outdoor area where children can challenge themselves on the playground equipment while building their independence and self-confidence.
Healthy, nutritious meals and snacks will be provided throughout the day.
BestStart’s Set for School initiative for our preschool children, which will be incorporated into everyday practice, assists with a smooth transition to the next step in each child's learning journey. The programme is a partnership between families, teachers and children, encouraging development of pre-literacy and numeracy while providing opportunities to extend their independence and self-help skills.
Your child’s learning journey and milestones will be captured and shared through one-on-one communication and our online learning portfolios on Storypark. This is a great way to keep up to date with what your child is doing while at the centre. You can log in to see what’s been happening in their day, check out photos of them and comment on their activities.

BestStart is a registered charity owned by the Wright Family Foundation. We support initiatives and programmes within BestStart and the wider ECE sector that support equitable outcomes for all children. We do this because we want to make a positive difference in the lives of children.
