Our Hudsons and Hueys Rooms provide calm, nurturing and responsive environments for our youngest tamariki. Hudsons welcomes babies from approximately three months to one year, while Hueys supports children from one to two years of age. Although they are two individual rooms designed around the different developmental stages of each age group, they share an outdoor environment, and our teachers work collaboratively to provide continuity of care and a strong sense of belonging.

Guided by our local curriculum, Together We Grow, we recognise that infants and toddlers learn through secure relationships, sensory exploration, movement and meaningful everyday interactions. Our teachers take time to understand each child’s individual rhythms, cues, interests and care needs, working closely with whānau to maintain consistency between home and the centre.

In Hudsons, babies are supported to develop secure attachments, confidence and curiosity through gentle, responsive caregiving and opportunities to explore at their own pace. In Hueys, children are encouraged to strengthen their communication, mobility, independence and emerging social skills through active exploration and purposeful play.

Inspired by whanaungatanga, manaakitanga, ako and kotahitanga, we celebrate each child’s identity, language and culture. We create a warm “home away from home” where every child feels safe, respected and deeply connected as they begin their learning journey and grow together with others.

Our Vincents and Venturers Rooms provide welcoming and engaging learning environments for children aged two to four. While they are two individual classrooms, each supported by three teachers, the rooms share a spacious outdoor environment. Our six teachers work closely as one collaborative team, giving children opportunities to build secure relationships with a wider group of trusted teachers and friendships across both rooms.

Guided by our local curriculum, Together We Grow, we support tamariki to strengthen their sense of belonging and connection to their culture, whānau, community and the whenua. Through responsive relationships, intentional teaching and child-led play, children are encouraged to explore their interests, express their ideas, solve problems and develop confidence and independence.

Our programme supports this important stage of development by strengthening communication, emotional regulation, social competence and self-help skills. Literacy, mathematics and physical development are woven naturally throughout children’s everyday play and learning.

Our Baffins Room is a vibrant and engaging learning environment for children aged four to five. Guided by our local curriculum, Together We Grow, children are supported to develop strong roots, a sense of belonging and meaningful connections with the whenua, their cultures, their whānau and our diverse Hobsonville community.

Through purposeful play, intentional teaching and responsive relationships, our experienced teachers nurture children’s confidence, independence, resilience and curiosity. Our programme has a strong focus on literacy, mathematics and physical development, while also strengthening communication, emotional regulation, social competence, problem-solving and essential self-help skills.

Inspired by the values of whanaungatanga, manaakitanga, ako and kotahitanga, we celebrate every child’s identity, language and culture. Through our Set for School programme and connections with local schools, we support tamariki to become confident and capable learners who are well prepared for a positive transition to kura.
