Discover our unique rooms

At our centre, we have four different rooms, each thoughtfully designed to meet the developmental needs of its specific age group. As a newly built and well-resourced centre, our strength lies in the quality, intentionality, and thoughtful setup of our environments.

Each room is carefully planned to create meaningful learning opportunities that encourage exploration, independence, and engagement.

Our purposefully designed learning spaces, combined with a strong and purposeful curriculum, support children to grow into confident, curious, and lifelong learners, experiencing early literacy, numeracy, and the wider world through rich, high-quality play and learning.

Rongo Room(Infants)

This is where the learning journey begins for our pēpi. In the Rongo Room, we focus on nurturing strong relationships, care, and emotional security, supporting children’s development during these crucial early years.

Our room is thoughtfully set up with:

· Developmentally appropriate resources to stimulate exploration and curiosity

· A calm, caring environment where babies feel safe and supported

· Learning spaces designed to encourage sensory experiences and early social interactions

Tawhirimatea Room(Toddlers)

Our Tawhirimatea room is where toddlers begin to explore the world more independently. Here, tamariki are encouraged to test boundaries, try new things, and develop essential self-help and self-care skills.

This room offers:

· Well-resourced and intentionally planned learning areas to support curiosity and problem-solving

· Opportunities to develop confidence through independence in daily routines

· A balance of care and educational experiences, supporting children’s holistic growth

Tane & Papatuanuku Rooms(Preschool)

Within the Tane & Papatuanuku Rooms, children continue to strengthen their social and communication skills while building on their independence. Early literacy and numeracy concepts are integrated into everyday experiences, supporting their readiness for more complex learning.

As our older tamariki prepare for their transition to school, our "Set for School" programme is designed to be rich and purposeful to support children’s growth in all areas.

In these rooms, children benefit from:

· Engaging resources and learning experiences focused on early literacy, numeracy, and school readiness

· Carefully planned learning environments that encourage developing both social and independence skills

· Activities that promote self-help skills and practical problem-solving.

· Opportunities to develop problem-solving skills and engage in collaborative learning.
