Our Nido classroom provides a nurturing and homely environment where we follow each child's individual routine as closely as possible, ensuring a smooth transition from home to the center. Tamariki are encouraged to care for their belongings, using their personal cubby or hook labeled with their name. The day includes uninterrupted time for exploring Montessori materials, fostering independence and curiosity. Regular excursions, like visits to the library or nearby park, provide opportunities to connect with the community. Celebrations such as birthdays and annual events like Matariki and Mother’s Day bring families together, making every milestone special.

Casa2.5-6 year olds
The Casa classroom offers a rich, engaging environment for older children to prepare for their next steps in learning. The day begins with tamariki preparing kai for both classrooms and includes uninterrupted time to explore Montessori materials, fostering concentration and responsibility. The Set for School programme is a key feature, equipping children with skills and confidence for the transition to primary school. Older children also enjoy excursions, including walks along Mt. Victoria’s southern pathway, developing their sense of adventure. With activities like preparing lunch, cleaning up, and participating in gross and fine motor skill games with Coach Mattie, the Casa classroom balances independence, learning, and fun.
Both classrooms prioritize community involvement, cultural celebrations, and family connections, creating an environment where tamariki thrive and families feel supported.
