BestStart Morrinsville offers quality education and childcare in a converted villa with a renovated extension that provides a ‘home away from home’ atmosphere. We are located on Studholme Street in Morrinsville.

At BestStart Morrinsville we see everyone as leaders and we encourage these capabilities to shine through. Your child’s education and care is paramount to our teachers and we form trusting, respectful relationships with all. Children have a balance of time to learn through play as well as routine time but most of all, we have FUN!! Your contribution to your children’s learning and development is essential and this is entirely encouraged so please feel free to stay and play!

We have very strong relationships with the local community and schools where we are active contributors to our Kāhui Ako. We consider family and whānau as extremely important to the culture of our centre and we encourage you all to be active participants within our daily programme.

Our Team

We are a small but passionate team of local kaiako. Each with our own baskets of knowledge that we use to support and lead one another and our BestStart Morrinsville whānau.

Our Spaces

We are a mixed aged centre that welcomes children aged 3 months until they're ready to go to school. Our environment supports tuakana/teina relationships where we all support and learn from each other. We also provide a space for our under two children to explore and interact. We have specific teachers who care for our under 2 children ensuring their routines from home are being continued in the centre.

Our outdoor play area is equipped with movable equipment where children are encouraged to take responsibility of and lead their own learning and help set up areas of play where this supports their learning and development in a safe, high quality environment.

My nearly four year old has been attending BestStart Morrinsville for the past four months. As a parent the transition into the centre has been made such an enjoyable process for both Ryder and myself. The centre has a fun filled environment with heaps of different learning experiences on offer every day. I appreciate that the wonderful and friendly team of teachers always cater to the needs of my child on a day to day basis. For example he doesn't normally need a day sleep but there has been the odd time when he has been extra tired and the teachers have been more then willing to make the arrangements for him to rest that day. I enjoy that the children have the freedom to visit the under twos environment if they wish and the younger children have the chance to mix and learn alongside the older children. I have really enjoyed the story park stories of Ryders learning that have been shared with me online and he is proud to share his portfolio and art work with me when I arrive to take him home. The teachers and management at BestStart Morrinsville have really gone out of their way to make Ryder and I feel part of their family at the centre and I cant wait to see the fun and learning that Ryder will enjoy for his next year before he heads off to school.

Thank you ladies, you have all been so amazing at supporting Harrison at his learning for the year he was here. He keeps saying he misses you all! Thank you under 2 team for supporting Brayden and transitioning him to daycare life and now a big 2 year old in the big kids room. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

What a great centre our son Leo attends. Not only did the centre manager (Mikala) check in with us prior to the lockdown to make sure we are aware of the rules around level 4, she kept us well informed once the levels were set to drop down. This was done by communication on Storypark and also a phone call to check if we wanted to send Leo back once Level 3 was announced. As I am an essential worker, this was greatly welcomed and I decided to send Leo two days a week. The centre was more than happy to accommodate this and helped with the hours. They were also very informative on the guidelines and how we needed to manage the set level 3 rules. Also, the stream of songs, book readings and ideas on how to keep the kids busy during the lockdown by all the centre teachers put up on stroypark, was so appreciated and helped us and Leo stay in touch. Thank you team for all your hard work over this time and I look forward to seeing you all next week when Leo returns full time under level 2😊

We are new in NZ from South Africa. All the staff have been so welcoming and amazing with helping my kids settle in. I have not had one bad day with them since starting day care and everyone has been so accommodating!! I will absolutely recommend BestStart to anyone and everyone!
