At BestStart Ōmokoroa we are passionate locals!

Together with our local hapū, our local schools, our whānau and community we are building strong foundations for life-long learners and empowering them to grow as the community grows around us.

At BestStart Ōmokoroa, our curriculum is a play-based tamariki lead curriculum, guided by the NZ ECE curriculum Te Whāriki, Te tiriti o Waitangi and Te Pūtiki wharenui a Tamatea 2020. We embrace all tamariki as we provide an authentic, culturally diverse and inclusive curriculum by acknowledging the diverse heritage and needs of all tamariki and their whanau. We believe the role of the Kaiako/teacher is to nurture, empower and love our tamariki while supporting the tamariki to achieve at their own pace.

You can find us on the Ōmokoroa Peninsula, where we are surrounded by the Tauranga Harbour, Matakana and Motuhua Islands and have views of the Kaimai Ranges and Mauao. We are part of a fast-growing community that has the philosophy ‘Live, Work and Play’ and believe our tamariki should be supported with the same philosophy. We encourage our tamariki to learn while they play with our play-based curriculum.

We are very blessed at Ōmokoroa BestStart we have 5 purpose-built classrooms that cater the individual growth and needs of your tamariki. We let the child progress at their own pace, which means the different rooms are to moved through when they are ready, the ages below are only a small indication.
