At BestStart Pukuatua, we strongly believe that all our children have the potential to lead their learning. Our approach emphasizes independence and self-directed learning, starting from our under two unit and extending through to our preschool unit. Our Set for School programme ensures that every child is well-prepared for their next educational journey. We also hold a gold Healthy Heart Award, with our center cook preparing nutritious meals daily.

Located conveniently across from Trade Central on Pukuatua Street, BestStart Pukuatua is minutes away from Rotorua Hospital, Boys High School, and the heart of the town. The centre has ample off-street parking, making drop-offs and pick-ups hassle-free. Our diverse community of learners reflects the vibrant and multicultural nature of Rotorua, and we take pride in supporting, nurturing, and learning from each of them.

We understand the importance of communication and partnership with parents. We actively engage families through our transparent communication channels, including regular updates via Storypark and personalised discussions about each child's progress and daily activities. This collaborative approach ensures that parents are informed and involved in their child's learning journey every step of the way.

Our Team

We are a dedicated team of qualified teachers, caregivers, a cook, a van driver, administrative staff, and regular relievers. Our passion lies in providing exceptional care, education, enriching experiences, and nurturing moments for both our tamariki and whaanau.

Our Spaces

Our center is licensed for 112 children and is divided into four separate learning spaces that cater to different ages and stages of development. Our rooms are designed to reflect important values such as aroha, manaaki, whanaungatanga, tuakana-teina relationships, ako, and Te Whare Tapa Wha, guiding our daily activities and interactions.
