At BestStart Railway Road, we believe that teaching children to be excited about learning will set them up to be excited and inspired to become future leaders.

Our centre is located between Fielding and Palmerston North and set amongst a rural background away from the busy city centre and we are involved in regular local excursions, planned in response to the children’s interests. 

The Education Review Office has described our centre as a calm, welcoming atmosphere that supports the development of strong relationships with children and whānau. Children benefit from a curriculum that consistently reflects the service's philosophy and our passionate teachers actively promote a sense of belonging within the centre.

We offer flexible, well-considered processes that promote children’s wellbeing when transitioning into the centre and between age groups. Our Set for School programme is carefully designed to prepare your child for primary school, focusing on literacy and numeracy skills.
