Our newly renovated Nursery is open, spacious and cosy, with a deck that flows naturally to the outdoors. There is ample space for pēpi to be inquisitive and curious as they develop and build relationships with kaiako and other tamariki.

• Start with Heart: Our approach to infant and toddler care puts loving, responsive relationships at the heart of everything we do, supporting pēpi to feel safe, secure and understood.

• Space to explore: Our open environment gives pēpi plenty of room to explore, move and discover at their own pace, with easy access to outdoor play.

• Transitions at their own pace: Pēpi transition to the tuakana space in their own time and are free to return and spend time in the Nursery when they feel the need.

Our tuakana-teina space is well resourced around the interests of our tamariki, giving children plenty of opportunities to follow their curiosity, make choices and lead their own learning.

• Learning through play: From dress-ups and role play to constructing with magnets and Duplo, moving to music, exploring the train set and getting stuck into messy play, our environment evolves with the interests of our tamariki.

• Creative expression: Our purposeful Art Studio gives tamariki the freedom to explore different materials, express their ideas and discover their artistic flair.

• Set for School: As tamariki prepare for school, they make and decorate their own graduation korowai using harakeke sourced from our centre gardens, acknowledging their connection to this place and community. At graduation, kaiako share key learning achievements, whānau aspirations and a letter penned by the tamaiti to their New Entrant Teacher, before they proudly wear their korowai as they move on to kura.
