BestStart Remuera Road provides award-winning childcare and is situated on the corner of Remuera Road and St Marks Road, convenient to Newmarket train station and motorway access. We provide quality care and early education for babies, toddlers, and pre-schoolers all year round.

At BestStart Remuera Road, we nurture the learning that matters for our tamariki, whanau, and wider community. Our focus is on our children’s lifelong learning journey that matters to them. You can see the traces of learning throughout our centre as you walk in. Our environment speaks volumes and our children are our best ambassadors.

We believe that, by getting out and exploring, children get to know different spaces in their local community and can experience the natural environment outside of their immediate world inside the centre. We plan community excursions & nature walks as they play an instrumental role in exposing a child to a range of different experiences and enable them to gain a sense of the world in which they find themselves.

Our Team

Our qualified team of teachers apply a project-based learning approach at BestStart Remuera Road. Project-based learning is a method that includes critical thinking, communication and collaboration skills. Through project-based learning, children are invited to take ownership and agency of their own learning and take proud steps towards their holistic development as they transition to school. 

Our centre cook designs a well-balanced menu with healthy nutritious food for your children with every child’s health and well-being in mind. We have a seasonal menu and are currently working towards our Healthy Heart award. We base our recipes on organic and low-sugar foods with lots of fruits and vegetables for each of our meals.

  • 20 hours free for 3-5 year olds and WINZ subsidies available* if required

Our Spaces

Our indoor environments are built purposely to support the learning and development of different age groups – Infants, toddlers and preschoolers. Each room is equipped with high-quality, age-appropriate resources designed to spark curious minds.
