Infants – Our newly refurbished Infant Room caters for up to 25 children aged 0 to 2 years old. Our calm, dedicated and a friendly kaiako take pride in their work and are passionate about infant education and care. We support home routines, building strong, trusting relationships by learning about what’s important to you and following your child’s cues. Our youngest children feel safe and secure in our warm, inviting environment that feels just like home. Open communication is at the heart of what we do, and every child has a communication book where information on each child’s day is shared. We have individual learning plans for each child, embracing their uniqueness and supporting them on their learning journey.

Toddlers – This stunning new learning space room caters for 32 tamariki, 2 to 6 years old, with the support of 4 amazing kaiako. Toddlers are energetic and full of curiosity about the world. In this room days are unhurried, giving children the time to explore at their own pace. This supports them in developing their imagination, self-help skills and independence. We encourage all children to try their best and give things a go. Our kaiako endlessly support our tamariki to be social communicators encouraging them to put their thoughts into words and to give voice to their experiences. They also support tamariki to make sense of their environments by generating and refining working theories. Each child has an individual learning plan which we develop with families. We value our parent’s input, as when we work together, we are stronger.

Be School Ready Preschool – This boutique learning space is brand new and uniquely designed to offer a focused learning environment. In this small class of just 12, 4–5-year olds, we design our curriculum to allow for facilitated and self-directed learning with two talented kaiako that have a passion for school readiness. Kaiako use assessment to find out about what children know and can do, what interest’s children, how children are progressing and what new learning opportunities are they want to explore. We also encourage self-initiated and spontaneous interactions and activities that engage the children as a whole; developing them intellectually, emotionally, physically and socially. We want children to participate fully and to be actively involved in literacy, numeracy, science, arts and crafts, cooking, music and movement, and a range of physical activities. We have individual learning plans for each child, embracing their uniqueness and supporting them on their learning journey. Our learning programmes are carefully planned and constantly evaluated, using Te Whariki as our framework.
