Infants

Our newly refurbished Infant Room caters for up to 20 children aged 0 to 2 and a half years old. Our calm, dedicated and friendly kaiako take pride in their work and are passionate about infant education and care.

We support home routines, building strong, trusting relationships by learning about what’s important to you and following your child’s cues. Our youngest children feel safe and secure in our warm, inviting environment that feels just like home. We have a big outdoor play space that is purpose built for this age group, and accessible to our smallest of movers.

Our Baby Nest also provides our non-movers with their own space and a quiet environment to learn and grow in. Open communication is at the heart of what we do, and we love sharing what our littlest learners get up to!

Toddlers

This stunning learning space is catered for our boldest of learners that are energetic and full of curiosity about the world - our 2 to 6 year-olds who are excited to learn!

In this room, days are unhurried, giving children the time to explore at their own pace, but we value our children supporting with the curriculum and program by being active participants in mat times, kai times, and enjoying time as a family.

This supports them in developing their imagination, self-help skills and independence. Our kaiako endlessly support our tamariki to be social communicators, encouraging them to put their thoughts into words and to give voice to their experiences. They also support tamariki to make sense of their environments by generating and refining working theories.

Each child has an individual learning plan which we develop with our whānau to help our learners achieve success!

Preschoolers

This boutique learning space is brand new and uniquely designed to offer a focused learning environment to get our oldest tamariki set for school. In this small class of just fifteen 4–5-year-olds, we design our curriculum to allow for facilitated and self-directed learning with two talented kaiako that have a passion for school readiness.

Kaiako revolve the curriculum around children’s interests, working theories and what new learning opportunities are they want to explore. We also encourage self-initiated and spontaneous interactions and experiences that engage the children as a whole; developing them intellectually, emotionally, physically and socially. We want children to participate fully and to be actively involved in literacy, numeracy, science, arts and crafts, cooking, music and movement, and a range of physical activities.

Our preschoolers all have an individual learning plan, which we develop with our whanau, schools and Kura, to help our tamariki achieve success before they head off to school.
