BestStart Stoddard Road is an early learning centre in Mt Roskill. We provide high-quality early education and award-winning childcare for children aged from 3 months to 5 years old. We offer Halal meal options and are conveniently located very close to the Maioro Road motorway off-ramp.

At BestStart Stoddard Road, our centre philosophy focuses on creating an inclusive environment for our children to grow, learn, and explore. We provide open-ended learning experiences to inspire our children's creative thinking skills and imagination. Our centre has a large outdoor area where children can explore and discover, including our own gardening area where tamariki (children) learn how to grow plants and vegetables which we use in the meals provided by our centre cook.

Our community is diverse, and we embrace each child’s cultural background and specific needs. Culture is a very important part of BestStart Stoddard Road and we have many ways and experiences to help develop and celebrate cultural identity. We don’t use any beef or pork in our meals and we offer Halal meal options to our tamariki.

We value the importance of relationships between the centre, children, and whanau (families), encouraging parent participation as we work together. We host community events and parent evenings at our centre where families can all come together as a community and support our children's learning journey.

Our Team

Our qualified team of kaiako (teachers) plan children’s learning based on their individual strengths, interests, and needs, as well as working closely with whanau to understand their aspirations for their children. We offer frequent online updates on your child's learning and development via StoryPark so families can conveniently see and contribute to their child’s learning.

Our Spaces

Our centre prides itself on our large indoor & outdoor environments and engaging educational spaces for tamariki to discover and learn about the world around them. We have three age-specific rooms where tamariki can learn in environments designed to suit each child's stage of development. Our large outdoor environment offers an open space for children to develop their gross motor skills as they run, jump, climb, and challenge themselves on our play equipment.
