This classroom environment is always well set up and maintained. This is a nice space for the infants and toddlers that are in our care, it is small but well utilised and the outdoor area and rain room is always set up with current interests at heart.
It has a homely feel. We try to keep teachers in this room permanent so that there is consistency for the tamariki. This helps give them a sense of belonging which is seen through the settled and engaged play and routines. Tamariki have regular nappy changes and have a permanent cot or mattress set up in the sleep room upstairs whenever required.

Discover our unique rooms
Our centre is very homely, that is something we proud ourselves on. We welcome tamariki, whānau and visitors in with a warm smile. We have great relationships with whānau in our centre and this can be seen through any of the daily conversations we have with all. Through parent feedback, our centre feels very warm and welcoming and it is obvious the children are always engaged and busy.

This is a welcome area and is the first look inside BestStart Vivian. Whānau and tamariki heading into the infants and toddlers space are required to sign in and walk through this area, therefore it is always well maintained and set up. It is a busy but thoroughly engaged environment. Teachers are very welcoming.
We offer a range of planned resources and activities throughout the day. We try and change them around and keep the tamariki engaged in different experiences many times in the day. We have a well sized learning area and easily accessible essentials, eg bathroom, water dispenser and bag room. This encourages children's independency and self-management.
