BestStart Vivian Street
BestStart Vivian Street early learning centre in the heart of New Plymouth provides care for children from 0 to 6 years old is a lovely environment that feels like home. We're open right through the year from 7.30am to 5.30pm and provide a range of full and part time spaces to suit our community's needs.
At BestStart Vivian Street what matters to your family, matters to us!
We learn about what's important to each of our families and support our children to discover more. Our children know that who they are and what interests them is important.
We are lucky to be situated in New Plymouth, New Zealand. Where we have the mountain and the sea. We offer care to a wide range of cultures and backgrounds.
During the terms, we offer a few regular excursions, and even more spontaneous excursions. Our current weekly trip is to the Govett Brewster Art Gallery every Monday. This gets us out into the community and offers the tamariki a different space to explore and learn different things. When these regular excursions are not running in between terms, we have very well planned and thought out holiday programs. This is where we have a different out of the ordinary experience every day on offer for our tamariki.
Our Team
Our team is a very close knit team who get along with one another well. This enables us to work well as a team and bring the best learning outcomes for tamariki. We all have the same goal, to educate and care for the future generation. We find this is the most crucial age group and this is the time that shapes them into their future selves, therefore we place a high importance on the care they receive from us.

Our Spaces
Our centre is very homely, that is something we proud ourselves on. We welcome tamariki, whānau and visitors in with a warm smile. We have great relationships with whānau in our centre and this can be seen through any of the daily conversations we have with all. Through parent feedback, our centre feels very warm and welcoming and it is obvious the children are always engaged and busy.
