A Great Start!
What an amazing start we have had to 2024. Our tamariki are enjoying all things art, with painting, collage, pottery, salt dough, drawing, construction and so much more. Every day in February has seen an active interest in exploring and discovering the world around them. So many awesome questions have been asked and answered. What does make glue sticky?
We have been blessed with so many beautiful, sunshine filled, blue sky days. This has meant oodles of water play, exploring the many iced tea flavours we can create with gorgeous summer fruits, and some great learning around sun safety. The hot weather has also meant spending some of the midday uber hot times inside enjoying the air conditioning and some yoga. Early on in the month we had our first whanau event of the year with a wonderful evening at Eddison’s in the all new, absolutely stunning Cinema Lane.
A movie, mingling, face painting, popcorn, drinks and so much fun. If you are looking for an even space here in Whangamata we highly recommend giving the team at Edison's a call. You won't be disappointed. The centre was recently generously gifted some Monarch Butterfly chrysalis. This has been such an amazing learning opportunity for our tamariki. Seeing the process of caterpillar to butterfly has been an incredible learning opportunity and an amazing close up look at the magic of nature.
