A Morning Filled with Love, Learning, and Gratitude at BestStart Jones Crescent!

What a truly special morning we shared today at BestStart Jones Crescent—a beautiful blend of learning, love, and heartfelt connections!

Despite the dreary weather, our second Early Reading Program of the year was warmed by the incredible presence of our wonderful whānau.

Your unwavering support fills our hearts with gratitude and reminds us just how special our community is. The morning began with the magic of shared stories, as parents and caregivers nestled beside their tamariki, flipping through pages and creating precious memories together.

These moments are so much more than just reading—they’re the foundation of lifelong literacy, curiosity, and the unbreakable bonds between loved ones. We then came together for a touching mat time to celebrate the amazing mums in our lives. The room was filled with joy as our little ones sang “I Love You, Mum and Dad” with all their hearts, danced to cheerful Mother’s Day tunes, and proudly presented their handmade cards.

There’s nothing quite like the sight of a child’s beaming smile as they wrap their arms around their mum and whisper, “I love you and thank you.” At Jones Crescent, we believe education extends far beyond letters and numbers—it’s about nurturing kind, respectful, and grateful hearts. Today was a beautiful reminder of how much we grow when we learn to appreciate our whānau and the world around us.

Thank you for being part of these meaningful moments. Together, we’re not just preparing tamariki for school—we’re helping them grow into caring, confident, and curious learners. “A mother's love is like a compass that guides us through life's journey...”
