Children's Christmas Party at Chipmunks Playland
What a great way to celebrate our tamariki at BestStart Waitangirua! This year, we had our Christmas Party for our children at Chipmunks Playland in Tawa. This event which was held on December 5th, provided an opportunity for children from all three rooms (Harakeke, Awarua, and Rereroa) to come together and enjoy playful interactions with their friends.
The kaiako also presented some Christmas carols while playing their ukulele as a way of sharing our new skill which we learned from our PD. This social event fostered a sense of community among the tamariki, including their families and kaiako, allowing them to strengthen their friendships and relationships in a relaxed and fun setting. This Christmas party served as an important occasion for everyone, especially the parents and the teachers to connect more in an informal manner, sharing insights about the children. Interactions like these are beneficial in building strong partnerships between the families and the centre, promoting an environment where everyone works collaboratively.
This is very crucial for supporting the development and learning of tamariki. Moving forward, planning more events like this that will encourage social engagement for tamariki, whanau, and kaiako will continue to be beneficial for nurturing strong, supportive relationships within the learning community of BestStart Waitangirua.
