Today was full of laughter, creativity, and colour as our tamariki transformed their hair into the funniest, wackiest styles! Using pipe cleaners, cupcake covers, paint, bottle tops, ribbons, glitter, and playful shapes, every child had the chance to express themselves in their own unique way.

To make it even more fun, Teacher Rowe and Teacher Evlyn went around with their decorated trolley, helping tamariki create their crazy hairstyles. They gave guidance, asked questions, and supported the children’s ideas.

We love days like this because they encourage self-expression, imagination, and confidence. Tamariki get to make choices, explore creativity, and celebrate their individuality. It’s also fun taking photos of the children and seeing themselves in silly styles.

Teachers also enjoy the opportunity to be playful and curious, exploring the interests and personalities of the tamariki for the day. Crazy Hair Day reminds us that learning can happen everywhere—through play, creativity, and celebration. It’s a wonderful way for our tamariki to practise independence, problem-solving, and social skills, all while having a blast! We have many more exciting days planned for our children in the future.
