Our tamariki were thrilled to welcome the fire and police services to BestStart Meadowbank! This hands-on visit taught them vital safety skills and built positive connections with real-life emergency heroes.
Our tamariki at BestStart Meadowbank were very excited to welcome the fire service and police service for a special visit. It was a wonderful opportunity for them to meet real-life emergency service personnel and learn firsthand about how these important members of the community help keep everyone safe.
The children listened carefully as the fire officers and police officers explained key safety tips, such as what to do in case of a fire, how to call for help, and the importance of staying calm during emergencies.
They also had the chance to see the equipment used by the services, which made the visit even more engaging and memorable.
These visits are incredibly valuable for our young children because they not only teach essential safety knowledge but also help build trust and confidence in emergency responders. By interacting with the fire and police services in a friendly, non-threatening environment, our children feel reassured that these people are there to help them if they ever need it.
This early education fosters a sense of security and awareness that will benefit them throughout their lives. We believe that such visits are a vital part of our children’s learning and development, helping them grow into safe, informed, and confident individuals.
