Today we celebrated our final visit of the year from Camille, our enthusiastic and dedicated librarian from Tupu Youth Library. Over the past months, we have developed a warm and positive relationship with Camille, and we are excited that she has included us in her regular schedule for 2025.

She has become a familiar and much-loved part of our centre community, and her visits are something tamariki eagerly look forward to each term. Camille arrives each time with new stories, songs, finger plays, and interactive games designed to capture children’s interest and imagination.

Her lively storytelling brings each experience to life. Although children have the option for free play during the session, no one ever chooses to leave. Every child becomes fully engaged, listening, participating, and responding with joy and excitement.

These sessions are not only enjoyable but also support the development of early literacy skills. Through shared stories and group interactions, children strengthen language, imagination, communication, confidence, and their love of reading—essential foundations for school readiness and future learning.

We value this meaningful partnership with Dawson Library and look forward to continuing our learning journey with Camille in the year ahead.
