Bubbles offer a multitude of benefits for children, engaging their senses, promoting physical and cognitive development, and even aiding in emotional regulation.
They are a simple yet powerful tool for learning and fun.
Here in the Tarawera 4-year-old unit, they made the biggest, most beautiful bubbles that everyone got to have a turn with.
Bubbles help to strengthen many areas, but one of the most important is the oral motor skills. Blowing bubbles strengthens the muscles in the mouth, which is important for speech development and eating.
Cognitive growth is another area in which our children get a good workout. This is the skill of problem-solving;
"How are we going to blow the bubbles?"
"Do I need to dip the string in the solution a little bit or a lot?"
"Can I hold it with one hand or two hands?"
"Do I need someone to help me, or can I do it by myself?"
All these questions are great skills for navigating the world of life.
Bubbles look like so much fun and they are! The learning that sits alongside bubbles is hidden but so important. The joy, delight and fun make this activity easy to do, cost-effective and all ages can have a turn.
Come and see our beautiful bubbles in action for yourself.
