In the preschool at BestStart East Tamaki Road, our children (tamariki) are supported to develop their understanding and skill in woodworking (carpentry). This experience provides children an excellent opportunity to engage in problem solving - an important skill for children to develop from an early age for their future. Children will also be developing eye-hand coordination, spatial awareness, sense of precision, and understanding how to use the carpentry tools safely.
