Our Exciting Visit to Everglade Primary School

Our Moonbeams tamariki enjoyed an exciting excursion to Everglade Primary School as part of our ongoing Set for School experiences.

The visit provided a wonderful opportunity for tamariki to explore a school environment, develop confidence and become familiar with the next step in their learning journey.

During our visit, the children explored the school library and listened to a story shared by the Deputy Principal. The Deputy Principal also introduced tamariki to the Everglade Primary School logo, which features a tree and is displayed on the school uniforms. This helped the children become more familiar with the school’s identity and develop a connection with their future learning environment.

One of the highlights of our visit was participating in an exciting scavenger hunt. Tamariki explored their surroundings, followed clues and worked together to find different items. This encouraged curiosity, communication, observation and problem-solving skills.

The children also enjoyed spending time on the school playground, exploring the equipment and sharing happy moments with their friends.

Experiences like these help tamariki become familiar with the school environment in a positive and relaxed way. They provide opportunities to develop independence, build relationships and strengthen confidence as tamariki prepare for their transition to school.

At BestStart Everglade, we value our connection with our local school community and enjoy creating meaningful opportunities for tamariki to explore, learn and grow.
