Preschool Room Happenings
Recently, we have been on a number if excursions exploring the local area and visiting local Primary Schools. Excursions can offer numerous benefits for children under five years old including learning opportunities whether it's about nature, community, history, or culture. These experiences can be rich in educational value and help broaden a child's understanding of their environment.
Excursions also offer physical development such as walking in a park, playing in a playground, or visiting a local attraction. This physical activity is beneficial for children's health and development. At our local primary school the children were able to explore a new entrant class room and for some children will be starting there it was a great opportunity to have an extra visit to meet the teacher and other children in their class.
Arts and crafts: by incorporating messy and tactile play into the preschool curriculum, teachers provide children with valuable opportunities for holistic development, creativity, and joyful learning experiences. These experiences also provides a sense of accomplishment completing a craft project can give children a sense of pride and accomplishment, which can translate to other areas of their life such as success. A lot of fun had by all.
