Last week we took a journey back in time with our action-packed Dinosaur Week – and what a Dino-Mite adventure it was!
From the very first day, our young explorers went on a dinosaur hunt, searching high and low for prehistoric creatures hiding around our space.
The excitement was electric when tamariki found their dinosaurs and proudly exchanged them for special Dino lollipops. Giggles ran through the room during Pin the Tail on the T-Rex, a game that had everyone cheering, clapping, and laughing together.
Our learning continued as we became fossil makers, rolling up our sleeves to press and mould playdough into amazing dinosaur fossils. Tamariki showed great creativity and focus as they experimented with tools and patterns, producing ancient relics with their own hands. Our budding palaeontologists also enjoyed sorting dinosaurs by size and species during interactive Dino games, building knowledge while having so much fun. We got extra crafty, threading beads and dinosaur shapes into colourful necklaces – a Jurassic keepsake to take home and treasure.
To finish our week, tamariki celebrated with a prehistoric-style dance party, complete with dino-moves, and shared a delicious dinosaur feast together. It was a week full of curiosity, laughter, and discovery – a truly roar-some experience!
