BestStart Allenton was a vibrant hub of learning and fun over the school holidays.
Each term break, our dedicated kaiako (teachers) thoughtfully plan engaging and exciting experiences for our tamariki (children) to enjoy.
This holiday, the children embraced a wide range of activities - from learning about nature, to dressing up as something that starts with the first letter of their name, and even a wacky hair day, to name just a few highlights. We were treated to beautiful weather for our BBQ beach day, which meant the tamariki could fully enjoy water play both inside and outdoors.
Our wonderful cook prepared delicious burgers for us, and the children delighted in trying something new. The day was filled with laughter, connection, and joy. Opportunities to learn about nature continued with our science and nature scientist days, where children explored different textures and experimented at our potion stations. Our under-twos especially loved creating beautiful artworks using leaves and paint.
Baking proved to be another favourite activity! Everyone enjoyed the process and the best part, of course, tasting their creations! Sports day brought plenty of energy, with the classic egg and spoon races as a crowd favourite, and lots of opportunities for active outdoor play.
It’s always a pleasure to plan these experiences for our tamariki and whānau (families), and each holiday programme strengthens our sense of togetherness here at BestStart Allenton.
