This past term in the Toitoi room has been truly enriching, thanks to the addition of three fantastic resources: the water trough, painting easel, and the tree house. Each of these resources has played a crucial role in enhancing the tamariki's learning experiences and skill development across various areas.

The water trough has become a hub of exploration and discovery. Its spacious design allows for multiple children to engage in play simultaneously, promoting collaboration and communication. The painting easel serves as a canvas for creativity and artistic expression. With its adjustable height, it accommodates children of the age 4-5 and abilities, allowing everyone to participate. Inside the treehouse, children can find miniature furniture, such as tiny tables and chairs, and small props like pretend fridge and people that enhance their imaginative play.

The open design allows for easy movement, encouraging collaborative storytelling and role-playing. Together, these resources have created a vibrant learning environment in the Toitoi room. They support the holistic development of tamariki, strengthening skills in creativity, social interaction, fine motor abilities, and scientific understanding. This past term has been an exciting journey of exploration and growth, and it’s wonderful to see the tamariki thriving with these engaging tools.
