Water Balloon Fun!

Today it was a nice and warm sunny Friday, while some of our friends went in the van to their swimming lesson, we decided it would be a good time for us to play with the water balloons. 

The children could not hold their excitement when they saw the packet of water balloons in my hands, I was quickly surrounded with extremely happy children that all wanted them NOW, so I asked everyone who wanted to play with them to sit on the steps of the deck so I could get a chance to fill them up with water for them to enjoy. 

This was the fastest I have ever seen the children sit on the steps, they all waited so patiently for me to fill them up. I was really proud of how well they listened and responded to my instructions while being so excited. I filled up the water balloons, we then counted down and everyone rushed to grab a couple to pop and throw. The children really enjoyed throwing the water balloons and seeing them pop and splash with water, what a way to cool down on sunny day. 

This activity is great learning opportunity for cause and effect. The children were all happy to help clean up afterwards and are looking forward to the next time.
