BestStart Inglewood early learning centre is in the heart of our community and has community at heart. We're open from 7.30am to 5.30pm throughout the year, only closing for public holidays and offer a range of full and part-time spaces to suit our community's needs.

At BestStart Inglewood, we work alongside families and community!

We are a small whanau-based centre with many ties within our local community. We are the stepping stones in the lives of tamariki within our community.  Tamariki come to us as seeds, kaiako nurture tamariki throughout their learning journey so they are able to meet their full potential and blossom, ready to take on the next steps in their educational journey and life.

All children are welcome at our centre, their language, culture and identity become a part of our centre. We truly believe that all children should feel connected to the wider community to understand our history, our people, and discover their place within it - we do this through regular excursions to local primary schools, rest homes and to the town hall for yoga classes.

Our Team

We are a small but close team with each teacher bringing their own unique skills to the table. With regular professional development and learning from one another we are consistently upskilling to provide the best possible care and education to our BestStart Inglewood family. We also have a special member of the team, Marshmellow-Snowball, our centre rabbit who gives the best cuddles and comfort to our settling children.

kind words from our parents

Parent

Such a supportive teaching team who really care for both my children and provide quality learning environments for my children to learn, grow and thrive. The admin and management team are also always friendly and go above and beyond to support my family's needs.

Amazing people, amazing learning! My child loves it there and we are very much enjoying our experience with Beststart Inglewood.

The BestStart Inglewood team is amazing and have worked alongside me to support with starting to toilet train my child alongside supporting me to change my child's sleep schedule with me going back to study in couple of weeks to help get a better routine at home - such an amazing team!

Parent

Shout-out to all the amazing teachers/staff etc at Inglewood Beststart. They supported Lucas so well through the start of his daycare journey. Within a month he had gone from screaming, crying and being generally unsettled to being excited to be there and refusing to leave and come home! The staff are supportive, understanding and patient. Not only have they looked after Lucas incredibly well, they have also made the enrolment and entry plan easy for me as this is also my first time being away from my son. The centre as a whole is comfortable, clean and welcoming and we have been very thankful and happy to be a part of this small community.

Namaste from BestStart Inglewood!

While Namaste is not a common word you would hear in the ECE setting, you'll hear it regularly at BestStart Inglewood since we've been engaging in yoga excursions with Stacie from Yogi Kids Taranaki!
