Kia ora everyone,
Today we wrapped up our school holiday programme on a high note by celebrating Around the World Day. It was a wonderful way to finish the holidays and a day filled with curiosity, creativity, and connection.
I am incredibly proud of our kaiako for their intentional and creative table set-up activities, which thoughtfully supported children’s learning throughout the day. Each learning space was purposefully planned to encourage exploration, conversation, and imagination as children discovered different ways to travel the world through passports, tickets, landmarks, and cultural elements.
A heartfelt thank you also goes to our whānau for their enthusiastic and meaningful contributions, which added great value to the children’s learning experiences. Children were fully engaged, sharing ideas, asking questions, and learning from one another in rich and meaningful ways.
The excitement and sense of connection seen throughout the day reflected the strong partnerships we share with our families and the wider BestStart community. It was a pleasure to see children so confident and curious in their learning, and we would love to share photos from this special celebration with you.
