What a splash-tastic day at BestStart Mangere East! From sprinklers to water balloons and ice blocks, our tamariki had endless summer fun. With smiles all around and parents loving it too, we’ll be bringing back Splash Day again soon!
To celebrate summer and the beautiful sunshine, BestStart Mangere East held a centre-wide Splash Day! Our tamariki brought their togs and towels, ready for a fun-filled day. Kaiako set up obstacle courses, water balloons, water play in the troughs, coloured water, sprinklers, and even ice for the children to explore. The water balloons were a favourite – tamariki had a blast throwing them at the teachers, filling the day with laughter and excitement.
After all the splashing, the children dried off and enjoyed some quiet time with refreshing ice blocks – even the pēpi had a treat! The day ended with a movie while tamariki waited for their whānau. Our families were thrilled with the event, especially as many had enjoyed the pools and beaches over the Christmas holidays.
With warm weather still around, this is definitely an event we’ll be bringing back soon!
