Yes. Childcare centres are designed to provide safe environments for babies and young children. Creating a baby-safe environment involves identifying potential hazards, using age-appropriate equipment and taking steps to reduce risks while supporting children's exploration and learning.

As babies grow and become more mobile, they learn about the world through movement, touch and discovery. Safe early childhood environments allow babies to explore confidently while helping prevent access to hazards and reducing the risk of injury.

At BestStart, our centres use a range of safety measures, including secure doors and gates, child-safe locks and age-appropriate equipment. Hazardous items are stored out of children's reach, and teachers carry out regular safety checks to ensure indoor and outdoor spaces remain safe, organised and suitable for children's age and stage of development.
