How do you create a safe environment for my baby?

Email this answerEmail

Your baby’s wellbeing, emotional security and development are at the heart of everything we do. We create safe, nurturing environments through responsive relationships, careful supervision, established health and safety practices and routines that support each baby’s individual needs.

From your baby's very first day, our teachers focus on building trusting relationships and learning the routines that help them feel secure. By following your baby's individual sleep, feeding and comfort routines as closely as possible, we create consistency between home and childcare and support a gentle transition.

Behind every BestStart centre are clear health and safety procedures, experienced teaching teams and ongoing professional support to ensure high-quality care. Combined with responsive relationships and familiar routines, this creates a safe, nurturing environment where babies can settle, explore and grow with confidence.

Good to know

  • Your baby’s sleep, feeding and comfort routines are shared with teachers before they start with us.
  • Families can speak with teachers regularly about their baby’s wellbeing, routines and progress.
  • Safety practices, policies and procedures are reviewed regularly to help maintain a safe centre environment.
